go with 35's
decepticon i got 35's on my 82 4x4 and it is perfect for street driving. it makes the truck like it's a stock one with the little punny tires. i only got a 22r so if you have a 22re it should be no problem

I think that 4-cyl can handle 35s with that gearing...fo' sure. Do you have a manual or auto? Either should be fine, but of course with the stick you lose less power in the transmission.

i think u'll handle it. no prob. i have 456 and i have 35s. i have a v6 though... but lots of 85's with the 22re push 35's with 529. i dont like 529 coz of the TINY pinion gear. im happy with the 456.
performance wise,... off road.... 33 and 35s... only 1" difference on top and bottom. but it seems to make a HUGE difference climbing over rocks and all. and u get that 1" of diff clearance.
