YOu are not limited to using the supra MAF setup.

Tim

THAT is a good idea! thanks for warning me about the hotwire and VCC. i was hoping it was just a gain issue that i could adjust with the SMT. your idea sounds much better . . . black 4" PVC pipe on the way. . . .

i'm busy building a ram-air setup out of fiberglass for the hood scoop . . . relocating the air filter box and MAF are part of the design. . . .

Can this thread please end?

There is some people calling themselves JDM that tune Fords. Some silly Ford BBS. It does not stand for Japaneese Domestic Market. I'm not sure what it does stand for, but i'm sure it dosen't apply to Toyotas.

300 HP is probably possible from a 3.4, but not from some $9000 turd of a Tacoma on e-bay.

Please remember, not everything you read on the internet is true. Many misguided fools out there will just make stuff up and state it as fact for purposes of their own entertainment, and sometimes to make profit. That's exactly what is going on here.

Wow - what entertaining reading. I haven't been on this thread since it only had like 4 posts. I missed alot of fun! I think Vedder's deal is one of two things:

1 - He's a web troll who's read alot. He took all the buzz words he could find, threw them in a blender, and vomited that slurry of horsecrap on all of us to get a rise. He also has no money and just watched the Kevin Costner movie marathon consisting of The Bodyguard, Tin Cup, and Field of Dreams - hence the reference.

or

2 - He's either a lucky dot.bomber who got out with money, lottery winner or silver spoon trust fund putz with more money than brains. He really does have all that crap installed on his rig - by a shop - with their own dyno - with their own bogus results. This dude just might be the poster child for "SUCKER born every minute". We should all probably feel sorry for this fella. Wait til he finds out TRD stickers add 5rwhp each. That poor rig will be covered with stickers.

Lastly, anybody that picks a screen name like that needs help. If he wasn't so foul mouthed, I'd have thought he was a 16 year old girl.

Speaking of girls, this thread could give the "I'm just a girl" thread a run for it's money for being alot about nothing.

sorry to bring this one back... but it's almost been a year... and i think it's one of the funniest things i've ever read in my life. The post just goes through so many varying levels of BS and real info, and it even bleeds into the DB Drag Racing world!!!

what i wanted to know, is if there have been any recent sightings of this Loch Ness Taco, or Tacofoot if you will... also, i'm wondering what happened to this vedder kid?

well, sorry to waste your time everyone... i just figure that some of the new guys could get a good laugh out of this one

Holy Crap! What a read! So, did anyone ever actually see this Taco and live to tell about it?

You guys blew his technical evaluations of his Taco out of the water, and I kept up for the most part, but NONE of his story made sense...

I find it very humerous that he claims to be 22 and an architect - that means that he graduated high school somewhere before his 16th birthday since an architecture degree is a 5-year program. Also, there is an apprenticeship involved, so he would have to complete 12th grade at about the same time he entered his teens in order to be designing on his own at 22. Not only that, but IF that were true, who would trust a "fresh college grad" architect to design/build a multimillion-dollar house? No One.

Also, if he can pay off a $30k+ car in less than 6 months, then he should have enough bank to pay it off from the beginning. And, if that is indeed true, then why does he have to "save up" for a $3900 S/C...

At least I had a good laugh - well, a few of them...

It is obvious he was a younger chap that had done alot of mental masturbation by reading car mags and surfing the net. He did have enuf of the buzz words to get quite a few members on the board pretty riled up.

The only real way you are going to make over 300 RWHP IS with an intercooler but I think the engine from www.f2uning.com shows the way you do it.......mega $$$$$$$$$$$$$

It is all a game of temperature, pressure and humidity (can't do much about the last one). I think the roots blowers are a bit handicapped in this way and I doubt you will ever see an effective intercooler on a roots type blower.

God I want one of those......oh well.....

What a great thread. I really enjoyed the part about killing him and skinning him and dancing around in his skin. I laughed out loud when I read that .

Maybe he can't take pictures because the truck sank to the bottom of a river and then floated away. (If you don't get it, nevermind.)

I wonder if Mr. Vedder is related to Zesty? Distant cousins maybe? Troublemaking must run in the family.
