30,000 mile service

I paid $255.75 at my local stealership and here is what I got for it:

Replace tranny fluid
Replace coolant (Toyota long life red)
Replace spark plugs
Replace PCV Valve
Throttle Body Cleaning
Rotation of Tires
Can of BG44K
Re-torque propeller shaft/drive shaft bolts
Full underbody lube
Inspection of a bunch a things

I didn't have an LOF or air filter change because I do that myself (I use Mobil 1 syntehtic and an Amsoil air filter).

The full cost for the 30,000 would have been $297.00 but for the two items above.

The differential oil they recommend replacing at the 45,000 service.

This sound reasonable?

Assuming you have an Auto, no. They ripped you on the tranny fluid unless it was a flush. As you may know, a flush is the only way to go.

The only thing 30K services are good for is checking for warranty items that need addressing.

Think about it: For $255 you could have purchased the FSM's, a nice torque wrench and dinner for someone to help you.

But for a 30K service, that isnt too bad of a price. Sorry if I sound negative about them, I think they are worthless for the money.
