3.slow probelms can you help me

hey ther guys just got toya back and she runs alittle better but no power (89 runner 3.0 auto 4" lift 32's143,000 miles)
it has all this done to it: new new dist, cap, button, wires, plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, air flow meter, dual out flow master, had the valves cleaned with some ˟˟˟˟ the dealer put in the vacuum lines and ran thought it ,and it has been checked for vacuum leaks. and it is time and has enough pressure on the fuel says the dealer

okay what do i need to do to this beast to make it better off?

it will not shift out on it's own when cold or hot so i'll shift for it and that seems to help a little

and it has a miss after setting for a few minutes or a hour or so
if i give it a lot of gas it will smooth out in a minute or so and runn fine well it will run okay it really has no power now!

do ineed to replace the timing belt i don't know if has been or not
or should i start some where else or just replace the damn engine? but only 143k that sounds way too soon to me.

plaese help me out i'm at a lose for words on this thing

Duane:cry:

Are you complaining about the lack of power, or do you have a specific problem you would like us to address.

Take a dollar bill and hold it firmly against the flow of the exhaust. If there is a true miss, it will snap the dollar bill. Let us know what you find out, and we'll go from there.

How long have you owned it? 32's are a decent size for the 3.slow to turn.

Re-gearing will help. It worries me that you have noticed a decrease in power in the last 1K miles.

Any word on the HG recall? Was it ever done?

Ya, have your dealer run the VIN# to see if the head gasket campaign has been done on it.

The no shift could be a number of problems, and this is no specific order. Temp sensor, TPS out of adjustment, coolant line blocked at throttle body, kickdown cable out of adjustment, one or more bad shift solenoids, speed sensor, ECU.

The miss could be a number of things also, possibly a fuel filter,

Sorry there is no definite. Have you tried pulling codes. Has your Check engine light come on? Does the O/D light flash at all?

Here is the Toyota case line #(800) 331-4331.

They will tell you if your truck is part of the recall or if it has already been done by a PO they will tell you that too.

One little tip when reading the letters in your vin# over the phone say Victor instead of "V", David instead of "D" etc.

I'm gonna say it may be electrical. Has the weather changed, rain, snow. The TPS would be the first thing I would look at.

The TPS is located at the rear of the throttle body. You can check it with a multimeter. DON'T take it off. You may never get it backon the right way. You can check the resistance. Do a search here for tps. It controls the trans and fuel delivery. Pretty much everything that the truck needs to run.
