Another thing with the turbo being that far back is the lag it can cause. I have only ran 6lbs of boost so far but am getting it at around 2300 rpms with almost no lag whatsoever. With that being said, it looks like a nicely built kit regardless of the design..

I never said their design was the best, and I understood the downside to having that type of setup. Just because I am new to this board doesnt make me a truck newbie. I have owned and offroaded a 4runner and 2 tacos, and currently have a 97 T100, so I understand these trucks pretty good. And no LOL, I am not affilated with squires.

You didn't give us any background on you or your own feelings about STS (in fact, it sounded like you liked them), so (personally) I figured that you were probably a street guy that wandered over from another forum.

Needless to say I didn't get any dyno time.
Not that big of a deal I guess as it will give me an opportunity to do some more road tuning, finish the exhaust (this morning), and track down why I am throwing this damn p0141 code for the rear o2 sensor (i am not running any cats and need to check if the o2 sim we installed is working correctly). Other than that though it is running tits!!
I will have it in there next week, as soon as I set a day and time I will let you know!

If implemented, the new law will require a 30 percent cut in automotive CO2 emissions from all new cars and light trucks sold in the state by 2016.
Gregg's engine is original, the add-ons are legal to the word of that law as it applies in WA.Please don't sidetrack this thread into a duplicate of your other one.

Sorry guys I forgot to post up the results of the first Dyno here!
At 7psi of boost here is what I got:
Not too bad for such a small boost level. I am installing a few more URD goodies to smooth out the curve and get rid of a fuel cut i am experiencing due to the MAF seeing too much flow in the charge pipe. Back to the dyno soon to see what she can do at 12 psi

Gregg got on the dyno on 9/5. From the CT thread:
His truck is torn apart again... from a PM on 9/6:
I saw him on 9/7, he's hoping to give it all another run "soon".

The AFR'S were pretty steady between 11.0 - 11.6. I had an issue with the MAF seeing too much air and causing a fuel cut that leaned me way out and had to shut er down. I have ordered a voltage clamp though, installing this weekend and will be back on the dyno next week to see what some more boost does :headbang:
I am pretty happy with the results seeing that the best I did with the S/C - urd fueling etc.. was 234 HP and 330 TQ - and that was at 11 lbs!!

My truck is in pieces in my garage - took off the down pipe, crossover, wastegate to replace all the gaskets with copper to prevent exhaust leaks. I am also considering taking off the turbo manifold and have everything ceramic coated. We will see though.

I think it's fun to compare how this engine runs with a turbo versus a well tuned S/C'd system:
This is Gregg's: (272rwhp/379ft-lbs)
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...56669162qCxVGc
Here's TRDOLDMAN's latest dyno sheet: (304rwhp/355ft-lbs)
http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2301...62561490NeOcaG
Gotta figure the difference being gearing/wheel size, etc.

specs as far as? didnt see a list up of what he had on his setup with the trd sc.
Im still debating because of high gas and i dont know if i can afford premium and on top of that the sc plus mods and what not

Unfortunatley you still have to run premium with the Turbo as well, up front cost will be about the same, but install requires more work and tweaking. But, the power you can gain "should" be more... we will see when I get back on the dyno and tune at a higher boost setting.
