i've search but had no luck. does anyone out there know of any write ups on how to replace the head gaskets on a 3.4?

 

Nope... I'm not sure on the whole details on it, but, they had a recall for the headgasket replacements. I was told by the Toyota dealer that mine had already been replaced, and they do it for free, so Id check that first.

They'll ask for your VIN and let you know if its been done or not.

 

First, check on the service campaign as mentioned. It applied to some 96's and 97's and was an external flaw on the passenger side. The campaign may have ended though, so keep that in mind.

As for your question, your best bet is to use the TIS website by paying the $10 day use fee and then downloading the PDF you need.

Thanks. I think the service recall ended. From what I read it was good up through 11/2004. Thanks for the input.
