after i run my truck a little bit i got to come to a stop sign and it will die, and after that it takes a few cranks before it starts back up, ten when it does you give it gas and it wants to die and studders

anyone got any ideas before i take it into the mechanic

 

Mine was doing that also, so I cleaned out the throttle body, and replaced my old fuel filter, then set the idle to 800, reset the ECU, now she runs like a dream!

Look into the throttle body first (do a search). It's very easy, and only takes a few minutes to clean.
