3.0 coolant leak...

Here it is, it is leaking coolant at the back of the engine on the drivers side. It looks like it is coming from between the head and block but might also be from another place??? NO smoke or water in the oil.

Has anyone seen a 3.0 blow a head gasket like this?? Or is there something else to look at?? I REALLY don't feel like pulling the heads off.

There are some coolant hoses behind the intake plenum on the drivers side. Turn the engine on and look with a flashlight. I had a leak in the same place. Very easy to fix just let engine cool down before you fix it.

could be the water pump going out.... i had a leak in the same area you mentioned..... it would only leak sometimes..... the shop pressurized the radiator and couldn't find any leak.... long story short.... it turned out to be the water pump.... ended up getting it replaced, timing belt and drive belts for $300..... timing belt was due anyhow..... so it turned out to be a good time....

Exclamation oil leak and smoke!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday while going to the store I smelled something burning and smoke come in from the bottom of the passenger side, came back home and look under it was coolant all around the transmission and also it was a leak of oil from I think looks like a metal hose going out to the muffler I check the engine oil level and it looks good no white foam coolant is dissapearing rapidly and also nocks when the temperarute gets to normal any clues? I will really appreciated any info here

Here is my culprit:

This engine has been apart before but I have no idea when or what for. At least the oil pump and pan were off, and probably much more. No idea what brand gasket this is.

So far I have $400 in parts and $500 in the heads. All this on a vehicle I'm trying to sell. It better run like new.
