What engine options do I have with a '94 2wd pickup? Is a Ford 302 possible? Or should I be looking toward an inline 6 from a Supra? I just don't know what will fit in there. My other trucks have all been 4wd.

 

same as a 4x4. though 4x4s are easier for engine swaps, as you can often have more clearance for the oil pan.

i think a 302 would be an OK fit, as it's a bit lighter and narrower than a smallblock chevy. inline 6 is close to a bolt-in for the 22R, mainly needs exhaust routing and radiator clearance issues worked out...

 

I figured there would be more problems with oil pan clearance. My other trucks were lifted, therefore the fromt diff and components were lower. Thanks.
