Is there anyone on here with a 3 in body lift without any suspension lift? I want a lift but Don't have enough and wont have enough for a suspension lift for some time but I can get a 3" body lift right now, any advantages or disadvantages? Mostly PICS!

 

#1 disadvantage, it would look fugly.

 

Got any suspension lifts that are MAJOR cheap then?

How much tire do you want to fit? What type of wheeling do you do? Is this for function or looks?

 

I would like to fit 33"s, I wheel ususally in creek beds and river beds....


Its mostly for funtcion (ie... bigger tires) But I like the looks also...

 

Coils to fix the rear sag (1 - 1 1/2" lift), balljoint spacers, and a 1" body lift from Roger Brown and pounding the seam at the back of the wheelwell/trimming front bumper/valence.

The coils are around $150, the BJ spacers are $120 (check the group buy for better $) and the BL is about $100. This will fit 33's on 15x8's with 3.75" - 4" of Backspacing. When you can afford it, go for longer shocks. Probably want to extend your brakelines too (I have not yet)

I'm running this setup with stock length shocks except for the BJ spacers (not installed yet) and it works good. I get a little rubbing, but I have bushwacker flares getting in the way. Keeps the center of gravity low.

 

mxracer0486, what cebby said is the standard recipe to fit 33s. Lots of people run this and can do trails such as the rubicon.

 

How much of a total lift with this be?

 

You can go cheaper with cruiser coils, new shocks, BJ spacers and a panhard adjustor of some sort.

Perhaps 2" "over stock" in the front and 3" or so in the rear.

I have given up offering opinions on that though. The real answer is it will fit 33's. That is what I have, that is what works for me and that is what I advocate.

 

Ok so the total cost of this list will be 300-400$, do you know of any actual lift packages in that range?

If not then I guess I would just order the AllPro 1 and half inch coils... the 1 and a half inch BJ Spacers, and either a 1 or 2in body lift...

 

Oh and do the BJ Spacers increases axle angle?

-4Crawler 1" Bodylift $100

Total: $415

Add in $20 or so bucks for beer, flapper discs for the grinder and odds or ends and you will fit 33's, be low and not have a billion dollars into your suspension.

This is what I have. It works well thus far. Ride is decent, flex is good up front and great in the rear. Lockers make the difference.

 

Ok but does the BJ Spacer hurt the axles because of increasing the angle?

 

The BJ spacers should allow less CV angle because you essentially get lift without adding height to the CV's.

That is not explained well, but they will help your angles unless you take the front way cranked even with spacers.

 

i was wondering what model crusier coil will fit a 95 4runner? i lookin for about 3 inches so whats my best bet Flygtenstein?

 

FJ80 coils. For 3" lift you'd want the "short" side coils.

I was waitin to see what you'd have to say on that one BBB...

The total cost for me to fit 33's was right around that and I have only done two things (rear coils and 1" Roger Brown BL). But the real cost was in the tires, $618.42 on those bad boys.

But I can't wait to see what they look like...I test fitted them today for the heck of it at stock height, lol, not a chance...but it looked AWESOME!
