2nd Gen OME Rear Coils Installed. *Photos*

YAY! No more saggy rear!

I have never seen a photo of a runner right after the rear coils have been installed, so I had no idea what to expect the height difference from the front and the rear to be.

The coils are OME901's (HD version).

This is mostly just so anyone with a 2nd gen can see what they will get when they buy them.

My torsion bars will be cranked... when I feel like it
I kind of like having my butt in the air.

I'm going to have to do some painting now, there is a lot of rusty spots exposed at the rear now.

Hey scofco, looks real good, i have a few questions for you. Where did you buy these, how much, and did the oem coils come with the extended brake lines and all. I am thinking about getting a set.

I bought them from a local distrib. Everything was around $100CND each. The coils did not come with the brake line, I am heading down to Toyota to order another stock one to attach to the existing one.
No offroading for me until I do that though

The ride freaking great, I love em!

They make the truck look really good....that's one of the first things on my list, along with some better A/T or M/T tires.....I just hate a stock truck...good job on that.

It looks great. I was really pleased with my Downey HDs once they were put in. My truck sits just about level. I haven't measured but my guess would be that I'm about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off between the front and the back. It's barely noticeable so I'm not even going to mess with it. What's $100CDN in US dollars?

Now you just need some manual hubs so you can crank on those t-bars a little.

The rig is coming along rather nicely.

Looking like a show truck now I painted the axle and frame and junk last night black, it was too nasty looking, I couldn't take it. Looks bloody awesome now!

Oops, my bad. I figured you would have a semi-accurate guess off the top of your head. I guess not...

Here's my excuse...

I read of it before, though I can't find where.
I won't order the line until I find it just incase I'm full of it.

I did mine last year but I used the standard coils and the ride improved noticably. My rear sits about 1 3/4 inches higher in the rear right now. You may want to check and see how much shock travel you have right now. I only have 1 1/2 inch of downward travel before they bottom out.
