2nd Gen OME Lifts

2nd Gen OME Lifts
OK..
I was just talking to Brian (waskillywabbit) about the different lift possibilites there are for my '95 Runner. He went with the 3" OME lift for his 3rd gen and didn't pay nearly as much as I was looking to pay for a lift on my 2nd genner.
My question is, does OME make a lift for the 2nd gens...if so, where can I get it and how much should I expect to pay. If not, what is a comperable lift. I was looking at spending ~$600 for the lift not including install of course.
If you guys could gimme a link to a place that would have something like this I would really appreciate it!! Thanks guys!
BTW - Yeah I searched, but...obviously didn't come up with anything.

im pretty sure they make rear coils, and shocks that fit our rigs..but i dont know anything about the front suspension. for cheap, i say you cure your rear sag, pop a 1 or 2 inch body lift, and call it a day

or since im pretty sure he has already cured his sag, why not just go with the downey spacers in the back and crank the torsion bars on front? with springs, shocks and spacers, i think the price came out to about $500 from what i remember. this is what im going to do (hopefully this summer) whent he money rolls in.
oh and if im not mistaking, i think corey has some type of torsion bars that you then use coil overs on? i could just be full of it, but if i remember correctly, he has some form of coil overs on his rig. go check out his website.

OME makes coils and shocks with some leaf springs here and there.
$100 for ball joint spacers
$20 for used Cruiser coils
$40 for panhard drop bracket
$100 for 4Crawler Bodylift
$35 or so for low profile bumpstops
$70 for Rancho 5009 rear shocks
$70 for front air shocks
Maybe $100 for a retube on the rear shaft
The balance can be used to fly me out to install the stuff.
Seriously, that will get you on 33's, throw in a locker or two and you will smoke pretty much all the trails you can run with a body. Obviously protection of the normal sort too, but you get the idea.

With the cruiser coils are both the rear coils the same length? or is one the short side and the other the long side coil?
I'm just curious cuz I'm looking for some and I found some used from a guy and I'm not sure if I would just need one and try to find the other somewhere else

you have to get both long coils if im not mistaken.
kevywevy-
corey as do i,has SAW torsion bars. made by the same company as the coilovers, but no coilovers. just the torsionbars. unless he has done something really radical that i didnt know about..

You want rear coils.
I bought one pair that consisted of two coils, one of which was taller. It made the truck lean, so I bought another set. The next set also had one taller than the other. The taller was not as tall as the tallest, but the shorter was approximately as short as the other short one.
I then put the two tallest coils on the truck and started smiling. It sits level, rides great and I have already posted a lot of pics of it flexing. The thing is I have a heavy rear bumper, heavy rear cargo boxes and a heavy rear speaker box. This means those of you with an otherwise stock rear will be way up in the air.
Because of this, I suggest getting two of the shorter rear coils. Because the two pairs that I got each had different heights, I assume all of them do. I can only offer opinions on how things have been for me.
This set up may not make you big and bad, but it will give you enough lift and flex to wheel on 33's, maybe larger. You will be low and wide.
Do not waste your money on Sway Away torsion bars unless you have a front bumper, winch and fat girl friend to ride up there.

$100 for ball joint spacers
$100 for 4Crawler Bodylift
$35 or so for low profile bumpstops
$70 for Rancho 5009 rear shocks
$70 for front air shocks
$125 for downey spacers
Here's the list that Flygtenstein and I came up with, well he pretty much made the list...
Anything else you guys can think of? Do you guys think I should use something else in place of the stuff listed?
Thanks for the help guys,

The shocks that Flygtenstein listed are pretty da*n long so the gas tank wil likely have some issues with the shaft, if you get it retubed smaller the interference won't be a problem anymore.
Hope that helps ya WSU.
