2nd gen. exhaust

I know there is so much info on this but thats it, too much info. Im looking for a reasonable priced muffler that will give decent power and what size of pipe to use for a cat-back?
Thanks

Listening in for your replies....

Hey 914R I also have a 91 and have been thinking about redoing my exhaust for more noise. I have alot of flow just it is not loud enough. Hey also have you had that heat shield next to the transmission rattling on yours? or anyone for that matter. I have installed hose clamps to do away with the rattle but it will not go away.

I always point people to this chart from Dynomax's site.

As you can see, 2.25" is the ideal size for our 150 hp 3.0 engines.
Most people I know end up going with 2.25" from the cat converter back when getting a system fabbed up.

No muffler out there is going to give you a huge significant hp increase.
It will help a little in the low end, and perhaps high end, but it's only a muffler.

Have you listened to the sound bytes and vids on my exhaust page?
I dig the Magnaflow.
Many put on the Dynomax also which is a little quieter, and the Vortex is one of the louder units if you are looking for more groooowl.

The Magnaflow part # I use is kind of in between all the others.
Not to loud, and not to quiet.
