2nd Gen Air Box

Ok so i have the whole FIPK K&N air intake installed... and i was poking around seeing where this bad boy was pulling all its air in from.

There is only a small hole which comes throught the head light. Am i missing something or is the is only spot where air is brought in?

Has anyone made this hole larger to get more air into the engine?

pics man pics

As far as the air intake, it's still pulling from the hole in the fender where the stock airbox was getting it's air. I don't think you'll see much improvement from this. I put it on my 93 4Runner with the V6 and all it did was make the intake louder.

hey hill!

you can do the air box mod, which entails drilling a series of 1/4" holes in the bottom of your air box. i cant remember who did the write-up but search for 'air box mod' and you should find it.

Are you talking about the shroud behing the headlight? If you are, its better if u remove it, just to keep the engine bay more tidy, and give you alittle air
