Lightbulb 2nd Gen 4-Runner Trailer Wiring

To all of you that have wired your 2nd Gen for trailer lights, I haven't done a 4-Runner in years and my mind is a little sketchy on the details. If I remeber correctly the lights routed through the interior, right? So how/where did you snake your cables? Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Yes, the wiring is on the passenger side. You can access them by pulling off the plastic molding where the cubby hole is. IIRC, I just spliced in the toyota splitter box there and ran wires across the tailgate (under the plastic cover that runs along the rug) and out a grommet in the floor.

Perfect, thank you for the help, I really appreciate it. Hopefully I can get to it tonight.

Oh, I just remembered, the grommet isn't really in the floor. It's more like in the very corner of where the floor sheetmetal and the body panel join. If you look from underneath the truck I'll see it.
