back to the topic,.....um..
The two door model, the doors are longer like the extra cabs...I think.
Makes it harder to get out after squeeze in to those tight parking spots or have someone park so close to you.

"longer like the extracabs"? Doors between reg cab and xtracab are the same... No difference in length that I've ever been told or seen in person. Doors on the 2-door 4Runner look identical to the 4-door, from my perspective.

I think the doors are a bit longer. Here's mine... way better looking IMO.

Just did some checking on-line. I can find only two part numbers for the 89-95 trucks/4runners - one for vent window, one w/o.
Left side:
OEM# 6700204071 w/o vent
OEM# 6700235140 w/ vent

Fits both 4Runner and pickup.

But now I'm on a mission to find out "the truth"!

would you be willing to sell that metal panel? i have a 2 seater and it would be nice to have something to make the back flat for camping. i've been using plywood, but it doesn't have a tight fit and it moves while i'm sleeping.

great posts, i've learned so much from this forum it's not even funny! I can't wait until I can afford a 4runner but now i'm going to have even MORE trouble deciding what to buy....

1st gen...
2nd gen...
or
2nd gen 2dr
or possibly....a pickup...
