22re part identification
Got a quick question for you guys. I'm building my 88 4runners 22re back up after a rebuild and for the life of me I can't remember where this part goes. I think it's a pulley brace but I'm not sure. Could anyone provide a detailed description of where it goes? Here's a picture:

I left out the same bracket after my head gasket replacement. It mounts to the bottom of the power steering pump (arrow).

Alternator bracket. Like Jovis said, the threaded hole goes on the back of the PS pump bracket and the other side goes on the front of the timing cover. The radiused hole in the bracked should match up with the curve of the way the alternator swings back and forth. Set your alternator loose in its bottom mounting hole, that way you can get a better idea of where the bracket fits in.
I had the same problem when I put all mine back together. I had to take all the PS brackets off to get that thing back up into place, because it fits just right up in there to where I couldn't wiggle it back in.
