my friend has a 2003 tacoma with the e-locker installed, how do you know if the locker is working, she,s never used it and wint 4wheel her truck, when the locker is engaged does the light flash or would it be steady red when engaged?

The light will flash while engaging and be steady while locked. Also, you can only use the locker after shifting into 4Lo and being in neutral or going below 5mph to engage. There shoudl be a silver sticker on the driver's door with quicky instructions and a full write-up in the owner's manual.
