I'm only on my 2nd or 3rd tank of gas since I did mine but while I was driving on the freeway I had my cruise control set on 65 and everytime I hit a hill the RPM jumped from a little over 2K to 3K+!!!

I don't remember this ever happening with everything stock.

Is this normal? Am I still in the break-in period?
Are you "capped" or "uncapped"? The only thing I could attribute it too is running richer at low RPM's, which bogs the engine a bit, and if you have an AUTO (I am assuming you do), then that may cause the computer to kick down a gear when it normally would not.

As you know, I have done some testing, and only found positive results with the ISR mod, uncapped.

Summit Stainless Tips
Excellent choice of tips, Paul. I'm kinda partial to slant cut, myself

I actually want to replace mine with a stainless one at somepoint, its starting to rust pretty good on the bottom. Let us know how you like those Summit tips.

I'm running uncapped but the vaccuum tube I used is fairly narrow - I couldn't find a larger nipple to run from the plug so I had to resort to one about 1/2 the width. Hmmmm maybe I should make the same run capped and see if there's a difference.

Oh yeah, yes, I have an auto.

Actually based on my testing, I think capped would make it worse. I was significantly slower with mine capped. Try a different sized vacuum line. Also, I run my FPR line right out of the endcap. Some people have T'd their vacuum line, which I dont agree with.

I think it was your image on one of the recent threads about this <96>?

Anyhow, I patterned mine after that.
I'm running into problems finding an adequately sized (width) nib to attach to my cap.

I'm finding nothing out here.

Even at Lowes or Home Depot? They should have something around the drip system supplies. If not, try a Soft Drink system supply store, they have really cool aluminum "barbed" fittings, which is what I used on my old taco and my runner in conjunction with fuel line from Pep Boys.

Well, I have yet to check out Lowe's... the nearest one is next to the Q (this year's Superbowl).
Home Depot has been close to useless but I may check it out again...

I've been using some drip thing too (sprinklers) but it's pretty narrow. I think I'll be checking out what I can find today while I go look for a deckplate.
