2001 tacoma

i have a 2001 tacoma 4x4 2.7 4 banger i want to lift it a bit and put bigger tires on it i was thinking something like a 31 inch tire and 3 inch suspension lift will that work on a 4 cylinder what should i do thanks

what should you do??? well, i think the first thing that you should do is to check out the built in search function that this forum has...

x2 on using that search thingy! There are countless threads on this subject. You should be able to find out what you want to know.
Just a side note, if your truck came factory with 265/75/16 tires, you already have 32s on it.
Another note, I think if ya lift a taco more than 2in you have to cut one of the crossmembers out. check me on that cause im not sure if its 3in or the 4in kits that require this.

Some tacomas came stock with 265/70r16 which is a 31 inch tire. NOT 265/75r16. Therefore you need NO LIFT to run a 31. Never heard of having to cut a crossmember out. I went the cheap route and bought coil spacers for a 2.5" lift in the front and i have no complaints so far.
