It is a 95. All that is left that is still 95 are body, frame and front brake calipers, I have fixed everything else.

It is liscensed as a 95, and insured using a 2k Runner drivetrain replacement with supplemental for the modifications. State Farm has been good to deal with.

Someone may want to contact Slee, i read on ih8mud that he was swaping a 100 series cruiser that had the front end trashed. He mentioned that he was planning to go with a Diamond frontend with 80 outers.

I have a 00 sport with abs on all 4. So from what I am reading, my speedo is getting its signal from the ABS? I have the v6 so i know it isn't the same, but did Steve from Sonoran have this problem with his 99 4cyl? I just read a post from a guy who SAxled his 97 4runner with no mention of this problem.

Is it the limiteds and 2001 - newer 4runners? Want to be sure before I start cutting.

My '99 5 speed gets it's speedo signal from the front abs sensors. Found this out in doing a lengthy Truspeed calibrator install.

the 4cyl runner that steve has got it's speed signal from the transfer case.

V6 runners get it from the ABS.

and the 01/02's (and the 99/00 Limited's) with multimode pretty-much have to have the ABS signal w/o really freaking out the ECU.

i'm in the same boat, except that i don't have TRAC

it doesnt appear that trac would be much of an issue, though im uncertain how it intertwines with abs in the computer.

if its a significant brain-link in the computer, then yeah that sucks.

what if we swapped tc's and computers with an older runner?
