2001 4 Runner Center Console Disconnect
I'm in the process of dissembling my center console. Above the temp controls are three switches and one indicator - Defrost, ECT, Rear Window Controls and Passenger Seat Belt Light.
I watched a video (I can't remember the specific one) that said disconnecting the wiring harness from those switches / lights could mean returning the truck to the dealer for service.
I can't for the life of me think of why that might be and I'm ready to dismiss it as just bad info.
But before I do I though I'd ask the crowd if there was some known issue that everyone but I know about.
Thanks

Not sure, but from my experience on my '00 I recall disconnecting one for probably the temp control or fan...my rear window and defrost buttons were untouched..
I would think taking it to the dealer is for things like anti theft codes or something along those lines when you disconnect the batt..
My guess.
