2001 3.4 Throttle Hesitation Maybe Elec?
Wired up a light bar on my brothers 4runner last night. All good until we tested it before cleaning up the wires. The switch leads were wrong and it blew the light bar harness fuse. Fixed that and the light bar works but now he has a hesitation accelerating off idle and running poor other than at idle where it is smooth. Ran fantastic before. We checked for anything we may have knocked loose or affected and came up empty. The only odd thing was blowing that fuse while the wires were draped across the engine compartment. Thinking maybe a possibility is we fried a TPS somehow? I'm more of an older Land Cruiser guy and currently playing with a Trooper so I'm trying to get up to speed on the 3rd Gen. Heading over after work to do OBD and look at it in the daylight. Any thoughts appreciated.

Long story but currently no codes, no CEL and the problem remains. Thinking maybe a coincidence that it happened when we installed the light bar. Starting with the basics tonight.

Ok, light came back on. P0170 and then after changing a fuel filter and messing around with the reader we cleared it and it came back again as P0171. Fixing a dirty mass airflow sensor has it running great and so far no CEL light.

Did you disconnect the battery when installing the light bar?
If so, your throttle position sensor has to reinitialize. Take the intake boot off and clean the throttle body. Use a rag and throttle body cleaner. Don't spray directly into the throttle body with the spray. Spray it on a rag and wipe it out. Move the throttle butterfly so you can reach in there and clean it.

We didn't disconnect the battery but she's running great after fixing the dirty TPS. Ran it all over the mountains hunting this weekend with no issues and the check engine light stayed off.
