Question 2000 Tacoma cat.converter???

Hi all,

I'm new to this site(from NC), and this is my 1st post.

I have a 2000 v6 Tacoma, and it needs a cat.converter.
The dealer wants about 1700 bucks for this.

Can you guys tell me where to find an OEM cat.converter from a reliable source for my truck cheaper than the dealer-price?

I would appreciate your help very much.
Thanks in advance.

If you're going to be replacing it, I would't bother getting and OEM cat. You might be best off getting an aftermarket high flow cat. Check ebay, and I'm sure any local exhaust shop can do it cheap too.

For $1700 you could get an entire exhaust and have money to spare....

Try Catco, about $100. For $1700 you could get headers, entire exaust including cat and muffler and I wouldn't pay that much for it.

That seems odd that your cat is bad...What happened? Is it plugged up or broken inside?
