Love to try to help out, but first, you'll have to give out a few details. You were driving, and the car shut off?

1.) Does it turn over?
2.) Do you have lights, radio, etc.?
3.) Any funny noises?
etc.

Some extra symptoms will help to diagnose what is going on with your runner. BTW, there is a way to pull codes by pulling one of the ECU pins to ground. I can't recall which one, but I think I read it on this forum. Maybe in the tech section? Try a search for it on this forum....

yes it cranks, everything has power, it is getting gas also. I need to figure out how to pull the codes.

sounds like a timing belt. this is of coarse only a guess, but that sounds like a timing belt.

 

How many miles? What's the history on the vehicle? Are you under the 5 year 60K powertrain warranty still?
