Also, I was slightly off. The 2.4L 2RZ was used through 5/97 with a dizzy. They stopped using the Dizzy 12/96 in the 2.7L

Make sense now? Or is everyone as confused as I just made myself lol

i've got nothing but nice things to say about the 2.7 in my 98. i've owned it for 115k, and have only put starter contacts, an exhaust manifold and 1 new fuel injector. (besides regular maintanece)

It seems to be getting a little damp underneath, but it does have 174k on it now.

I love my Runner!

Good afternoon,

I was curious if I can swap a 2001 Tacoma engine 2.4 or 2.7 I believe into a 1996 Tacoma with a 2.4?

Will they swap in without issue?

Any help is appreciated.
