Anyone got a picture of a 1995 Toyota tacoma 3.4l Evap canister. In the middle of my engine swap and with my engine harness being a 95 my Evap canister is different than what I am familiar with. I have one for my 2001 engine but it's wrong. I can't seem to get a picture from Toyota or online of what my Evap can is supposed to look like but I gotta go trade mine in for the right one. Damn guys at the salvage yard keep pulling one up from a later year. Thanks.

Thank u for the reply. That ones on Toyota site, but says it's not an idzact picture of what the can looks like. :-/. I think it more looks like a 88-95 3.0 charcoal canister but could b wrong. Got the part number from this site, but the charcoal canisters don't have p/n's on em so don't help much at salvage yards. if I can't get a pic within a week I'll probably just buy one new.

Are you sure you had the correct one in your Truck??

Or is 95 like a change over year and you have the one from the 3.0 since the 3.4 system had not been fully developed or that Toyota had thousands of the old style ones to use up

mine for a 97 3.4 is the rectangle one on the left inner fender.

 

I got one from my 89 4runner 3vze (n/a) With engine swap (engine hardness) I have is 1995 5vzfe 3.4 so can has to match harness. I have another rectangle can from a 2001 5vzfe (what my engine is) but supposedly they had a different can in 95 and that's the one I need. 96 they switched to that rectangular can on drivers side fender well.
I think this one I'm looking for mounts on the pass side somewhat like the 88-95 3.0 mounted. Just a different can. Salvage yards keep pulling 96 and up 3.4 cans. ORS told me it's different :-/

 

Well you might have to see if you can get a new one From the dealer

Someone has to have the correct one on here I would think.
