Hey All,

I have a '98 4Runner SR5 V6. My front passenger-side automatic door lock has gone dead. All the others are functioning. Strangely, the RS3000 knows whether it is in the lock or unlocked position, since it will try twice to lock or unlock it depending on its position when you start the vehicle. Any ideas on what the culprit may be?

my guess is that the actuator the moves the rod up and down to control the door lock is dead.

take off the door panel and see if it is moving.
