This may have been addressed on this board before, but, wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

My sunroof has just started making a rattling noise when going over a bump the size of a penny (ok so I stretch the truth a little but it is annoying!) It only does it in the closed position. I can actually press on the sunroof from below when its closed and cause the noise to happen.

Any other lucky individuals out there experiencing this? Does the dealer have a TSB out for it?

It might be that little built-in wind deflector that pops up everytime you open the sunroof. Check that the screws are properly fastened.

My wife haas an '03 Acura 3.2 TL, and her sunroof does the same thing. On her car, it's the seal squeaking. I used a little vaseline to "lube" it and it's quiet enough til I take it to the stealer for it's next oil change - when they will have to address the problem...

Yep. I had a rattle with my sunroof that started only when the roof was open. Then, it got worse as I started travelling off-road more. Before I had it fixed, it rattled all the time at the slightest bump in the road.

I got it fixed by the stealer, under warranty. I know they referenced a TSB, but I don't have the exact number in front of me. In any case, it was described as "adding grease to the sunroof track". Been off road enough since then to know the rattle hasn't come back - yet...

Ditto on the note above. Mine rattled when hitting bumps and the sunroof was tilted open. I brought the truck in yesterday. They greased the track and kept cleaning the clear coat and rubber seal with some type of cleaner until all the "dirt" was gone. No more rubber seal squeak to report. I would have the dealer take a look. They should be able to solve. There are several TSB's classified as "headliner rattle" talking about this.

yes we experience it too. the wife is suppose to be taking her '03 in to get them to investigate it but she is a lazy one.
