02 Tacoma 2.7L ignition coils

Hi, Since I bought my 2002 Tacoma 2.7L, 4 years ago, has about 250k miles, 2 ignition coils have failed. 1 failed 2 winters ago and 1 failed this last winter.
I'm planning to replace the remaining 2 this summer for convenience as its a major PITA when it happens mid winter at -20F.

My question is, is it common for ignition coils to go out like that on this age and high miles Tacoma? Could it indicate some other part needs to be replaced also that might be causing it? Or probably just failing because of the duration of duty they have?

Thanks,
