hi.. new to the forums.. did a search and couldn't find an answer... i just put a gauge cluster from a 01 4runner into my 2000.. i had to change the circuit board on the back, so the plugs would match up... well.. everything seems to work, except

my temp gauge is always on hot,

the abs light stays on,

the parking brak elight stays on whether or not the brake is set,

and finally, when i turn on my hi beams, both signal indicators light up instead of the hi beam indicator

any ideas? or do i just need to find a cluster from a 2000?

yank that thing back out of there and find one from a 2000. The 01 is completely different, as you have found out

haha.. thanks... i knew it was different.. but it came as extra parts with the truck.. and i needed a cluster to use... so i figured it would be temporary for now.. just wanted to see if there was anything i could do to make it work while i was looking for a cluster from a 2000.

If you can get hold of the wiring diagrams for both models you may be able to make it work. Anything is possible but you'll fritter away the hours finding out!
