I still haven't been able to talk anyone I know into going muddin'. I feel like it's more fun if I can just go for it and not worry about getting stuck, when your bud is waiting with the tow strap you know. Today I couldn't stand it anymore and played around in the edges of the local mud pit. She looks good dirty...

So, I get my security deposit back from my old place, and it was burning a hole in my pocket. I went ahead and ordered two tires and I should be able to order the other two after the 15th. I am getting 33x12.5 Super Swamper Boggers, that should get me through that deep sand. I also have a 3" body lift kit on the way, just in case.

Ok, i'll check that out...wheel spacers right? My wheels are offset towards the outside quite a bit, but I take your advice seriously. Thanks.

I found an 82-83 solid front axle locally today, so I grabbed it. It is complete from hub to hub and he even threw in an axle truss.

I'm still waiting on my tires, they are on backorder..I got my body lift kit in a couple days ago, probably going to go ahead and put that on tomorrow. Tonight is the Los Fresnos Mud Drags, can't wait to go and check out the crazy locals in the pit. Alot of the local guys have built narrow bodied mud racers with paddle tires and stroker motors, freekin' insane! You can check out some of the races on Youtube.

Thanks Kuntryboy. I am planning on doing the SAS early next year. Until then I will be cleaning up the axle, rebuilding it, and installing 5.29 gears and a locker as funds become available. I just ordered a new set of 33's, so I want to run those and a body lift for now, then when I get all my parts gathered for the SAS i'll swap it and run something more like 38's.

Still waiting on my Boggers, they have been on backorder for over 2 months now...I guess that's what I get for ordering them from the factory thru a friends tire shop, trying to save shipping costs.

Thanks Twistedyota. I really need those tires to come in, now my front left is leaking down every day. The yota was getting dusty so I took it out for a wash. Here's those CV angle pics that were asked for earlier also...

And some gracious driveway shots. The other car is my daily, a '08 Scion XD lowered with 18"s.

Well, it's been about 2 1/2 months since I ordered my tires through a friend of a friend...i'm not sure what the hold up was exactly, but I went ahead and cancelled the order and will be getting the funds back tomorrow morning. Now i'm re-thinking my purchase and not sure exactly what i'll do first. I have the solid front axle sitting here, and a 3" body lift. I guess i'm torn between buying some new tires now, or doing the suspension mods first.
