So i think i found out why it wont start. The ignition is really funky. Today i cranked it and it tried to turn over but it wouldnt. I think its got some old gas in it. Going to pick up a new ignition tomorrow and hopfully that will fix the problem

What do you need for parts? I have a 88 for parts, whole trk w/ flatbed. gonna pull the transfer case for a doubler because its a top shift. It runs but has a bad head gasket.

Driverside is a little beat

This summer you will have to go wheeling with Rattlewagon and me! His trail truck is in Royalton, which is right next to Bethel.

Just cut the rust out and lay down some sheet metal? not worth swapping a cab for a few holes!

You have the single row timing chain right?
Do you have a mechanical fuel pump?

Post #25, and #29-#31 has the info you need. the pistons are the same, and the head will bolt up. From the first page it seems that the intakes will swap. From post #31 you can see that cams are different (from what i understand). Post #25 says you can swap cams though.

i would just put a fuel cell in it with an electric pump... That way you get the tank out from under the truck and eliminate the fuel pump problem.

Okay so i think i have everything figured out. The 22r and 22re heads are the same after 1985. But my only question is, is what do i do for a fuel pump? (i'm kind of a noob so dont kill me)
