Can't say I've ever seen that many chunks before after a kapow. Did you have another engine on-hand to drop in?

Added a extra coil/igniter assembly to my rig so I know I won't get stranded if it goes bad! Now I need to just figure out a good way to mount my spare vafm and distributer out of the way. Probably make a place in the cab. Name: 20141216_185835_zpsjlkzoymq.jpg

I carry enough tools with me to build another truck haha. Always ALWAYS a spare u joint and and straps and a plug kit in the dash unless it's just back and forth during the week. But any more it's always there.

Well I haven't posted in a good while, been quite busy. Since I posted last I good friend of mine with a 88 pickup 4x4 on 35's his engine gave up at 270k. We pulled it out and that little engine had just given him all the life she had left. So we just finished a build on it Monday night. I will add pics as they upload to photobucket.

Here is an update on my runner, added some hella 500's on the bumper, painted the bumper with bed coating, gave her a bath finally, and did a full lube and preventive maintenance on her, and replaced the u joints as they had turned to DUST! haha Name: IMG_20150121_163041_zpswhyfgvy8.jpg

went through almost the same thing

Hey man, sorry for that piston coming apart on you and blowing a hole in the side of your block. I had almost the same situation happen to me where the previous owner built a crap motor and it now has a piece of glass on top and is my coffee table.

Just finished a similar build to what you're probably looking for and tried to include as many helpful tips and pictures as possible. Check it out as it may help you decide exactly how you want to do your upcoming build.
