lol i kno.. every vehicle i have owned that had a MAF would not run without it.. but the 1UZ can apparently. There are even a few guys on lextreme who say it runs better without the MAF (a broken MAF of course), thats where i got the idea from.

Maybe there is a default map the ECU will follow? i cant explain it.. magical gypsy maybe?

Has you MPG changed, gotten worse? if so then it is probably running in open loop fuel trim on a predetermined some what rich A/F mix. Of course i'm not totaly sure abou that, never messed with the 1UZ.....just an idea

Did you have to cut or grind your roll pan at all to get the TG bumper to line up in the back?

Are you using the factory truck fuel pump or did you upgrade it? Maybe its starving for fuel.

That is what thought too but the lexus pump only flows a tad more than the V6 pump.. i have a Walbro 255 that i want to put in but ive been reading that my fuel pressure will be too high.. so i dunno..

Thanks toyminator, i hope i can figure this out soon. How is yours running?

Great so far but I haven't had a chance to open it up yet. I'm using a home made driveshaft so I can move it around while I wait for the custom ones to come in.

any luck yet hows it going.. i dont think its the pump , mines been fine with the 3.0 pump all this time and i floor it every chance i get.. i also read the two pumps are almost the same ,dont remember the exact numbers though.
ofcourse the 4.0 pump wont hurt neither.

and i can tell you my truck wont burn out right now ,well not on dry pavement that is .. but once its going 20-30mph it really hauls ass ,it jumps and flys.
good luck man ..

Thanks for the reply RMA, yes i think i have eliminated the fuel pump as my issue.
I just found out that the LS400 has smaller injectors than the SC400 so now im looking for a set of SC injectors because my engine is from an LS but my harness and ECU are from a SC. When i had my MAF unplugged it was fast, 1st gear would spin my 35's on dry pavement just from punching it on a roll so i KNOW im lacking power.

lol check this pic out:
the front tires kept sliding so i just jammed a rock in there

I read somewhere on lextreme that Supra TT injectors are even bigger than the SC400 ones. Not sure if the Factory Lexus ECU will take advantage of that though.
