Talking It Drives!!

So I drove it yesterday!! Got the brakes all finished and shock hoops and mounts all mocked up. Then went behind safeway to flex it out and take some final measurements to double check everything. Everything seems to be where its supposed to be, so I just need to finish welding that shock stuff and tie up any other loose ends...

Here is one pic (cellphone)

Will have more pics up this week as most of it should be finished...

Yup only place i got less than a mile away

Anyways, I washed it today and took some better pics,

The rear does sit a bit lower than the front (about 3/4"), so I'll probably end up just putting some longer shackles back there. But I'm gonn await on that to see how everything settles, and after bumpers and what not are installed... (I already want 35's )

So now I just have to finish welding some shock stuff and the steering stabilizer. Hopefully I can finish that up tomorrow

Have you figured out what you're gonna do about the driveshaft?

So I finished up the rear, shocks and brake lines mounted up, painted and purty! I also ended up putting 6" shackles in the rear and moved the axle back about an inch. Sits nicely now

(more pics soon)

I am thinking of just getting one made by Dave's Off Road Performance. Seems like a good deal, and a good quality product. Anyone ever used his stuff, particularly his ds? Or have any better, budget ideas (besides a square ds).

im curious as to why you mounted the stabilizer in that direction.i mounted mine from the dr side.i thought that it would go along the natural travel of the draglink better this way.

very nice build !
