Hey yeehaw1 I live I wv too! I'm only about 20 min out of charleston in elkview. My ride is a 92 pickup with a 3.0. It has been put through tough stuff, but it gets me where I'm goin. It isn't the only truck I've got. I have a project thats a 1994. It was driven on a strip in Boone county for years. It has been through hell and back. I'm trying to save it. It has potential. No frame rot, just surface. I'm still in high school, so it is a hit and miss project for now. Good luck with yours, and hope to see some more work done on mine too!

Over 4 years later.

How's it going y'all, its been right at 4 years, and I've changed jobs many times, been through some of the worst times I can personally imagine, and somehow I still have managed to hang onto most of my junk. The cage bed is gone, but the 89 cab, 89 frame, and 84 axles are still here and intact. I've been through brand new cars, newer trucks, and pretty much every hunk of junk you can imagine. Driving home in a snow storm the other day in my 16 Fiesta, I realized just how much I miss driving a Toyota truck. I started looking around at everything I still have last weekend, and decided that it's now or never. I'm finally going to do something with this build. I have set my mind on doing either a 302 or a 351W swap. I am planning to keep the stock 89 5spd and T-case (unless someone can give me good reason not to). I have a long road ahead, and hope to be running and driving by July. I hope to make a DD out of this thing at this point. I still want to eventually make it into a off road only vehicle. For now though, I will be content with reliability and looks lol. The new build plan is as follows.

89 cab, frame, 5 spd (ID number?), T-case, and hopefully driveshafts
Gusseted 84 SAS, and rear 8"
4" ish lift
Cheapest 35"-38" tire I can get
302 or 351w ( I have several to choose from)
Exo Cage
Stainless or Diamond plate dash with new gauges.

Soon as I figure out how to post pics again I'll get you some updated pics. Garage cleanout starts hopefully saturday.
