Dynabead said 8 oz for this tire size, but I thought another half oz wouldn't hurt. They are chewed up pretty good in places on the lugs, so..... and NOTE: These are the .12 gram bb's not the .20 gram.

Fender flares or something to cover the tires. If I had to guess, they are at least 2" outside the fenders in the front and 2.5-2.75" in the rear.

Ahhh, so is your 'dislike' pertaining to 'too far out, might rub' or 'inspection drama' related?

Too far out, I don't really like that look much. And not to mention PA don't like it too much. I'll figure something out.
I already have something planned for the rear.

not sure if there is a "mud flap" clause, but you should look into that as well. as I recall the "tread" of the tire needs to be shielded....which mine are but the tires still extend out more.

do your search magic and see what the vehicle code says.

4" flares max. One way around that 4" flare is to get an extended flare fender and add a flare to that as the law states, 4" past fender. No mention on modifying the fender itself.

Don't know about the bed rubbing or not yet. It was close before. I had to modify the fenders as expected though.

Tire Balancing. These seem to be doing well. I got a little bit of a shimmy at roughly 30-35mph but goes away after that. I haven't had it on the highway yet though. Tires are quieter since I don't have that bent rim in the back now. I can't hear the bb's over my muffler drone. SO I can't comment on the added noise. I do have alignment issues up front as well as a somewhat bad lower ball joint so that might account for some of the shimmy. Overall so far I am happy. Other then I coulda bought a set of Outlaw II's for $150. These with lug nuts cost me $145 total. I kinda like these better then the Outlaw II's though.

If you don't mind me asking, how's the Silla aluminum radiator holding up lately? I'm looking to replace my radiator, and I thought I'd follow up to see how it's working out for you. It sure looked great when it went in.

And I hope your "bigger problems" aren't too terrible!

Brandon... I'm kinda curious what's going on... mainly because, well, I'm starting to wonder if you're ok? I'm sure you are and it's vehicle related. But just checkin in, man. If you don't wanna say, could you just say, "NOPE, nothing wrong with me....other than being FURIOUS"... And then you can reveal what's wrong later, maybe? haha....

Hope you're good, man

Nope, I'm fine. Went wheeling last Sunday had to get drug out. Broke two Jeeps trying to get me out. Went down @ 8:30 pm right before dark and didn't fully get off the trails till about 7:30 the next morning. One Jeep broke his transfer case pulling me up a hill at about 20 mph to make the hill. On same hill an almost stock Jeep dropped a spring and broke one of his shock mounts.

Had to cut a trail to avoid one big hill to get me to another one. Our winch truck had already left and his phone was dead so He didn't get our message to come back to winch me up.

First time in 3 years this truck has left me stranded. And it wasn't the trucks doing. I guess with me messing around with the wheels and fenders, I chaffed my tach wire from the sr5 gauge swap I did a long time ago. I ran it through the fender opening into the engine bay and it was grounding out on the fender. This either took out the coil and/or took out the ignitior too. I melted two coils.
Stock OEM Coil

LX-91 Crane Coil

I had discconected the crane system a while back when I was having issue and I think it was the start of this to tell you the truth. SO that wasn't running, but because I had the spare still in the truck I tried using the ignitor to fire the crane coil after the OEM went down. NO luck, just finished that one off as well.

So with the help of a few sites, I decided to switch out to using the GM Ignition Module and round GM coil. Module is meant for a mid 80's Chevy v8 with HEI. Cost me $30 at autozone. Lifetime Warranty. And the coil is meant for a mid to late 70's GM with a 350. Another $30. ONly a 2 year warrenty on that.

Knowing the Distributor is supposed to be the module's heat sink I had to figure out a way to keep it cool. Some have just put it on an aluminum block and just bolt it to the fender well. With all the mud the truck see's I didn't think that was such a good idea. So..... with a little redneck geek engineering, I decided to use an AMD CPU Processor fan and heat sink and use an ATX computer power supply case as it's housing.

In addition to this problem I had what I thought was an alternator bearing going out on me again. It's been there for a little while so I don't know exactly when it showed up. But now with me running the engine with the hood open it's either top end or the timing chain. I lifted the valve cover off a little to see what was going on and I think the chain is knocking off the metal guide. Nothing looks broke, but it's awefully close. So I am wondering if the tensioner is going bad or just wore out. There is only about 30K on that stuff though.

Here's the engine running with the new GM ignition setup before I added the box to house the module/heatsink in. You can hear the noise I am talking about. It does for the most part go away at higher then idle RPM's.

Damage report from the trail extraction was just a busted yellow running light on the bed, mirror glass fell off the mirror on the passenger side, ad a slight dent in my drivers door. Nothing big though. How, I don't know. This truck is a damn tank I guess.
