Looks great. I'd love to have long travel. Someday, maybe. Are you still looking to get rid of the spacers and shocks?

Ok, just let me know. If the trade doesn't seem fair, I can throw in some cash too. Regardless, you are going to love the new suspension!

i got employee discount for them at toyota dealer. with lights and covers, came out to be around $160-170. no harness. just lights, mounting bracket, and covers. i did my own harness, relay and switch. the lights are not even toyota. on the back, it says: Hella Comet 500 made in Germany. i havent compared them side by side but from what i heard, they are just hella 500. you can buy almost anywhere complete with harness and switch for much less. than if you really want just by the FJ covers are the dealer. now i havent been to the stores or seen ones order from amazon but i dont know if "all" Hella 500 are made in Germany. i know Germany are know for light bulbs being the best. most factory HIDs are made in Germany as well as LEDs. i figure since i got OEM parts. the quality will be great so the extra $$ should pay for it.

Ahhhhh, Blake want's him a Yamaha V8, eh? YUMMO! My neighbor has a black IS-F, .... DANGIT! lol. Jk,.... that thing is sick! He's also getting a GT40, within the year when his buddy moves and gives it up. I've posted pictures of both.... BA rides! lol... Funny thing though... know what he has me keeping my eyes peeled for? "I want another 96-99 Tacoma, Pre-Runner or 4WD, either way, under 80K miles for a reasonable price... and CLEAN!"... I was surprised how difficult that is to find, "Low miles and clean for a reasonable price!", hehehe... JK, not really surprised.

Yeah, I love the IFS, TOYO, .... I also loved my SFA 83 and 85's.... I would actually love to have both, to be honest. But now that I'm more stuck in town these days/at my age... I'd probably put money, first, into a Motor Swap, NO DOUBT! THEN I'd go for the LT...

Also, every guru has told me, "DON'T buy an 85 or 84.... First of all, it costs nearly as much to convert the 85 to high steering and everything that the IFS rigs already have. You'd just have to SAS them, which CAN be done for less than MOST people end up doing, and done RIGHT for less, too." Not sure how MUCH of that is true for a guy like me who is not welding every day, etc.... But They've shown me what they mean. One did a full SAS on an 88 for around 1200$! He just raped leaf packs from this, other things from 'that', lol... and welded all himself and ordered shocks from his sponsor, fox.... So yeah, it would cost me more, but I'd definitely prefer a more advanced 22RE or even 3.0 or better to an 85 EFI motor, ya know?

Sorry, geeesh.... that just got me going, all that talk about swaps and such! lol.

imo i rather have a 85 runner or any SFA. well i do. its a 82. anyways the SFA are much lower than any SAS due to the front frame being different than comes the SAS hanger that adds like another inch.

Yeah, that's true, man.... But you'd still convert a MILD crawler project to high steer, wouldn't ya? Maybe a couple other things? Yeah, my buddy had to add a 4" lift to his 85 to get it up to a respectable level for him without being silly, lol. It was STILL maybe a lil lower than most SAS'd rigs I've seen, lol.

Anyway, that IS what most of the guys who've done these for heavy off road use(like 50/50-dd/4wd) tell me to do.

82, eh? Have I seen pics of this guy? lol.

i have a build page on here but its on the back burner now. too involved in the runner and the much needed interior space won over the SFA lol

Hey, i think i have that exact same cargo hitch carrier....aluminum from harbor freight? I use it when I go up to the sierras.

I got mine for $30 used, some guy used it for a weekend and returned it back to the store. I just happen to be right there at the counter when they finished accepting it back and asked the manager how much?

only used it twice lol. its not trail friendly for my type of wheeling. the beach trip. i will have my trailer and not this cargo basket lol
