Well, I didn't get around to dropping off the bed last weekend but, it should happen this weekend. Im thinking I might even start working on the truck! The plan is to get the rear axle in and them mess with the front. Or might go straight for the front...

Did a little work today. Got the front ds out and all the steering out. I also finally took off the hideous front bumper that came on the truck.

The point of no return...I remember that feeling lol. Looks good. Your making me wish I would have got a 60/14 combo for mine instead of the toy axles. I like the bedliner on the interior. Im not too far from doing that myself. Ive already ripped all the carpet out and busted the sound deadening material out. The floors got really hot this summer (about 140 degrees). Hopefully that helps it.

Thanks. Shes getting there. The bedlinder does help with the floor getting hot and I like it a lot. I would suggest laying the bed liner in THICK. I mean thick. The liner in my truck has actually cracked in a couple places were i didn't get it as thick enough. Its also showing alot of wear were you put your feet so put a sh** load under and around the pedals.

Pretty much finished the grinding today. Next up is plating in the motor mounts and welding on the front leaf hanger crossmember.

I welded on the front leaf spring crossmember today. 👍🏻👍🏻 I'm getting close to test fitting the front axle. Hopefully, I can knock out the motor mounts tomorrow.

I only had about a hour to work today so, I started working on the rear. Next prioritys are plating the motor mounts, cutting the holes in the frame for front leafs, and cutting off the factory rear mounts.

Yup I'm planning on using the plasma. Its hard to cut good circles with it... But I have 4 chances to get it right.

Motor mounts are done. Cut the mounts down and then cut out some plates.

Hit a big milestone today. I got the front axle in and test fitted. As expected, I had to cut off the driver side perch and move it over 3/4" and re-weld it because the Sky front crossmember is made for the chevy 60, which has a different blah blah blah... Long story short the axle sticks out 3/4" farther on the driver side than the passenger side but i can live with it. I also finally went to pull a part and got some 63" springs.

Well, I got all the stock rear suspension mounts off and grinded down. Hopefully, I can have the rear axle in by the end of the weekend. The disc brake kit also came in for the 14 bolt.

Welded the rear leaf hangers up. I also got some steel to box in the frame in the back, make front and rear bumpers, and make some rear leaf shackles.
