Got rid of all the crimp connectors on the light bar and properly soldered each then used heat shrink. Definitely brighter now

Got rid of the real tree duck taped broken back board panel in favor for a new old stock original panel. Now just to find a passenger side
In the mean time replace the grab handle that has since come apart

Sweet engine, I like the 22re sticker, nice touch. I want to go back through your thread in more detail and see what trans you are using, and where you sourced the engine. One of these days I'd love to do a swap on mine. 22re is just kind of weak for highway driving.

What you do is buy a 5 speed 3rz Tacoma or 4runner as a donor. It's bell housing will allow you to bolt the 3rz to your w56 trans. Also gives you the matching accessories, harness, ecu to make the swap easiest.

Interesting, I've never been interested in a swap, but your posts got me curious so I did some reading. I really like the 3rz. The 22re as cool as it is just is not very gutsy. I'll be watching what you do. What year 4runner or Tacoma did you buy?

You'd be pretty happy with the 3RZ as it makes a bit more power than the RE, gets better mpg and gives you a cleaner engine bay. They love boost too so there's plenty of room for power and parts for them. I got this one from a 98 4runner 2wd 5 speed
