Random pics of my CV equipped driveshaft. Was difficult to instal in that the transfer case E brake was in the way, and the bolts thread into the rotor. Was a bugger to line up. It must have taken me 2 hours just to get the 4 bolts in. And it rides smooth, much better than 2 U joints.

Continuing with the F drive shaft. Napa valley college has a machine shop next to the weld shop, I asked a favor.
[IMG][/IMG]
I welded it up, 7018 3/32, that and a new U joint.
Ill take pics of that in a jiffy.

Even with open diff's I'm chompin at the bit. I did a sustained speed of 65 or so today for 20 miles, ( 3100 rpm ). Smooth as silk. smoother than before my rear sas portion.

Here we go one step closer to its completion.
The inner shaft is capped, and takes about 20 oz of grease. Holes allow it to ooze within. To retain said lubricant I have welded on a cap so to speak that has a felt, rubber, felt gasket to help coral said stuff.

Ok I am fabbing up something to make getting in my truck easier. I feel like I am mashing the seat to get in. Sr5 bucket and its starting to fray at that point. I'll take a pic tomorrow.

I have engaged 4 wheel high, hubs unlocked and gone up to 45 on pavement and no vibes.
I will do this again to make sure. I have not wheeled my rig yet. Soon though.

Nice. I feel the same way whenever I get in mine. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

The seats are super comfy but a bit high. As I swing my right leg up all my weight is on the seat edge. I can't hop up as my head hits the door frame as it is.
The seat cover kind of protects the upper but the seat itself is starting to show its age.
I made this bar from some round stock drops.
It will sit in there like this. Bolted to the floor and cab back wall. It should take some sitting weight of that side.
