The bushing needed to be opened up to fit the upper mount post. about 18 mm ID.[IMG][/IMG]
This worked good.

Ohhh so that's what you meant! I didn't understand your question. My bushings fit perfectly in the stock shock location. Thats weird. Glad you got it fixed man.

Np. I see things in my minds eye and I do not always explain it correctly. There are a lot of bushing sizes, guessy upper had not the correct one. I know they make one, I dang saw it after google imaging it.
Flexing soon and pics.

Have you done the bump stops yet. I'm really looking forward to seeing that done. Not sure if we're hitting up big bear this weekend but i'd definitely like to have my bump stops installed before we go.

Red flex out your runner like you did, line up your upper bump stop where it meets the rubber stop. Then mark it's position somehow. Weld later.

The ifs rancho lift and rancho shocks were installed on Dec 91. They served there purpose. It's old age creeped up on me. Bushings deteriorated, bolts froze, it clicked and groned. Never mind the shocks had had it. Oh and the axle end rattled on the spindle. It is understandibly like might and day in the ride difference. I could not be happier. I like the look, feel and functionality of this swap. My 15 YO dream is reality.

I welded the bump stops on the U bolt plate. Directions say the upper bump stop needs 3-4 inches space. So I will need to shorten mine a tad. I will wait a week or so to let the springs settle more.

I replaced the map light, I had to make a 5/8 wood spacer to get it to fit.
