As far as future engines go, I'd like to swap in a VW diesel or 7MGTE or 5VZFE but i'll most likely end up rebuilding the 22RE.
Thanks for the kind words.

good stuff, just checkin to see what ur plans are. 22reperformance.com runs really good setups if you have the money to purchase a new engine. Called the owner and says he runs the stage 2 setup with 38" tires and the same 5" eliminator kit I have and he says it can run 4000rpm all day long and makes wheeling look easy

Sometimes it just doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day. Hehe. I'm excited for your progress though. So don't keep us all waiting to long. Hehe. Good luck on the roof rack!
P.s. You'll have to check out my beast, I switched my tires, and took care of deer damage, she looks like a beauty queen now... at least to me!

Anyway, not sure on when the surgery is going to take place, either way i'm trying to get as much done as possible before it happens.

Only thing I got done this weekend was I managed to make it to the junkyard. No Toyotas aside from a sweet 91' Previa van 5speed!
I pulled a roof rack from a late 90's Blazer I just now need to cut the cross bars to make the rack fit on the top as it is about an inch too wide.
Couldn't do anything else the weather was just too cold. Paint wouldn't even stick on my sliders...

Hey, that's why I learned to do this;
1. Fix a bunch of crap til it rolls and runs just fine
2. Drive the crap out of it as much as possible and while waiting for the next HUGE mod session(1UZ, SAS, etc.).... I stuff all kinds of fairly easy mods into it(couple hour stuff, maybe a day), until something breaks or annoys me enough that I begin said HUGE mod sessions again.
3. Enjoy it some more, living within my limits for now, content that I have a clean/very capable rig, within reason.
4. As Ted says, "Turn up the tunes and drive it until something breaks... Then fix it!" lol.
I know, I know, .... you gotta do what you wanna do, you know I'm the biggest advocate in that.... Not trying to influence ya, ....just saying! hahahaha.
