Roo Hunter's '89 Pickup
So... I just want to say, "MAN I LOVE TOYOTA!" you all know what Im talking about! You drive around town and you have "YOTA-radar." Every Toyota you see you asses it and you know exactly how its been drivin and what year it is and what mods have been made. Its like an unwritten biker gang Toyota drivers wave at other Toyota drivers. no other brand of vehicle has this almost cult. Anyways enough remenising. I am now a junior in high school and early this year i bought my truck for $1000. i took a gamble that it was just a lifter noise because of how good the body was. turns out though that it was a lower bering in the engine
. so i proceeded to save up for a total rebuild of my 3.0. As a bonus with my truck i was givin a '94 pickup with a shot 22re which i proceeded to give to my buddy for what we though was a running 3.0. it was a sight to behold being sunk in a swamp and almost blown up. it need work needless to say. so now im in the process of rebuilding his 3.0. i have many many plans for this truck and will definatly be posting more! YOTA LOVE FOREVER!!!!!!!

what i can think of for now is definatly port and polish! buy some headers! they are expensive but if you can afford it it makes a big differance! also dont skimp on anything you do! I know its hard if you dont have $$$$$$$ cuz im in that boat and getting along slowly but surely... ya... haha i have big plans for this truck though and dont mind the tedious stuff because of my love for toyotas! anyways that what i got for now! ohh! also they consume a little oil unless you buy special valve covers... have to buy them from the stealer-ship i beleive but not sure im looking into it more! and dont forget your haynes manual ( haywire manual and many other names in my shop) if you can get your hands on it a dealship (stealer-ship) manual is waaaaaaay better! every diagram and peice of info ever! if i think of anything else ill let ya know!

Mine dont consume oil through the covers. All you need is new gaskets that should come in your top end gasket kit.
And you can download the FSM for free. There are links all around YT for it.
