Wow getting 40somethin miles per gallon must be nice! I would love a diesel engine in my truck. That'd be awesome. Why doesnt Toyota sell their diesel motors here in USA?

The toyota diesels were discontinued in the U.S. after the 1986 model year, this was due to higher performance expectations from customers and the wide availability of inexpensive gasoline. They made a turbo 22ret that year. All the Toyota websites keep taking about diesels into the US for years now and still nothing, so a diesel swap or import one from the great white north is our only to get one. My hopes are up for a diesel Seguoia....lol

Thanks for the schooling. Learn somethin new every day. Well I think they outta bring diesel back even on tacomas can you imagine how much theyed be selling at this time of gas crisis. For all those people who still like regular cars and trucks vs the new hybrids I'm sure they'd definitely make a profit. It would be nice to be able to travel an extra 15-20 mpg then what we get now.

Problem is, well, most QUICK Diesels that actually have 'seat of the pants' feel like the 3.4 has.... especially supercharged, ... THEY'RE NOT great on gas as most would think. HOWEVER< ... I wouldn't care if I could get up the hills and trails and haul good size loads and get 33-36mpg! lol. I think they've done LOTS of demographic studies on this.... And their best seller regions, CA, NV, AZ, TX, couple other states... They're just not as likely to buy a diesel PU. Sure, lots would.... but ENOUGH? Not sure on that. I think that's why they're hoping to JUST try selling the Tundra with it.... Cuz THOSE are people who roll diesels ALL DAY LONG... The Compact PU and SUV crowd? Yeah, not so much. You CAN get a Toureg TDiesel, right now, IIRC.... And it's more expedition ready than the others.... Just can't be sure I would buy a brand new VW SUV, ya know? lol.

I think RBX is on to something, ya know? When he pulls that off, it'll be the EVNY of most of YOTATECH! Well, it SHOULD be, anyhow!

Personally, I'd be happy with a Built 3RZ or something a lil simpler to do, I can't lie, lol.

Yea, you're right. They should at least make them available upon special order or something for the people who really do what them.

Yea I've also checked out RBX's thread. He has tons of ideas that I wanna copy. Hes a good customizer(if thats even a word) lol.

Yep, he is, .... .AND, the most intensive MOD/Swap/Ambitious Move of all thus far? That Toyota Diesel Swap! WOW, I have great admiration for him in that one... NOT gonna be easy... But once it's done? OH MYYYYY! lol.

OOOH, great job on the rack, man!

Best wishes on the Trans job, too... I know it can be a bit of a bear, but pretty straight forward on install, etc. KILL IT! lol.

PS> You keep mentioning this "PLOT BEARING", .... did you go to Green Hills and request quiet plot bearings for lowering of the casket? hehehehe. JK, I couldn't resist.... PILOT bearing, pretty sure, is what you meant, lol.
