Ok, well now its been almost a month and still NO ROCKER ARMS!!! WTF?????

Not very happy with 22RE Performance's turnaround time...I wish that LCE didn't charge so much for their rocker arm assemblies, or I would just go that route. This is so lame, I literally have EVERY SINGLE PART EXCEPT ROCKER ARMS AHHHHH

being that this place is a resource for who buys what from where....with a few examples from me being engnbldr and trdparts4u and LC engineering of which i would certainly recommend all 3....so i would hope you have been in contact with them or they with you as far as a reason for the length of time here. a month is a bit long.

but like you said, it will be good for another 25yrs ...why not?....so in the broad scheme of things.....eh...you can hang in there a bit more.

Haha I definitely agree with both of you

Its not really the fact that its taking so long (a month is long, 92 you're right) its just the fact that I sent them in on a Friday after I spoke with them for a long time, they said they would be shipped out by Wednesday at the latest. Then 2 weeks of no word from them, so I called. They apologized, said that they would be shipped out for sure this past Monday. Well its now Thursday, I called and left a message (a nice one lol I just want my rocker arms!!) so well see what they say.

I agree that they do quality work there, but I don't appreciate being lied to a few times on the completion date. Now my machine shop and I are in limbo, which isn't very cool.

But I'll hang in there a little more haha I'm a pretty forgiving customer if the work is quality

Ok guys, well rockers are HOPEFULLY in the mail...they were supposed to be here on wednesday anyways, they better be soon because they charged my card!!!!

So the block is done with the hot tank, and I guess only one of my rods was a bit out of spec, but my machinist said he could dial it in when he grinds the crank, so at least the machine shop is keeping the ball rolling haha

I've been bored, so I've been working on some little tweaker projects so I don't go too crazy during this downtime

Diff breather mod (seriously best $10 mod EVER!!)

Little spring incase I need to flex

Here's where it gets good, I cut a hole in this factory plug, so the tube coming into my bedside is pretty much sealed by that grommet

Painted the master vac and put a brand new Aisin master on

Looks a little better than before

Painted my charcoal canister (I know I'm tweaking out!!!!! but I'm so bored!!!!)

Other than that, I resealed my shift lever housings, changed all gear oil, got new drain plugs and gaskets for the diffs and tranny...hopefully the rocker arms are here today so I can go drop them off at the machine shop!!!!

I can't believe you still don't have em yet! The rest is looking good. I tell Logan his rig is a tweekermobile bc he HAS to constantly tinker with it! Funny stuff.

Tangent. Does your cruise control work? I fixed my vacuum leak in the actuator based on some sweet info from another member, figured I would pass it on. If yours was TU, of course! Looking good, hope to see the progress!

Haha I'm the same way, I feel like I'm wasting time if I don't do something to the runner at least every week.

Yeah, no rockers yet.....ugh its gonna get ugly if they're not here by Monday lol

Funny you mention the CC, the PO said that it didn't work so I never tried it until my last snowboard trip, and it worked! It popped in and out, but I replaced the wiper tree controls, and that seemed to fix the problem. Good info on the vac leak in the actuator, I'll definitely look into it if I'm having issues

Yeah another member told me he has never seen the electronics fail, just the seal inside the actuator. He was right, opened mine up and had a circumferential crack in the seal. Smoothed some rtv on there, buttoned it up and works like new. Even if yours works you might want to look into it if you are bored.

VACUUM LEAK AT CC ACTUATOR? Hmmm, how's it going, Joe? Love your work!!! lol.

Sorry to highjack, but I've updated my thread after Flecker came by and tried to figure this out....and after 9 HOURS, ....still where I was, but now.....with a stumped comrade in arms! lol. I never checked this Actuator for Vacuum leaks, ....and it appears we're losing vacuum somewhere(not sure, ...SEEMS, LOL). My CC does NOT work, how did you verify it was leaking vacuum?....or did i misread that? lol

Umm, bc it did not work? Check the accuator first. Now if you have a leak here, it should not affect performance, as in your case. Everything ran fine, just had no cruise.

Sorry Kiyo, I missed your post for some reason, lol. Wouldn't have asked, otherwise. I was actually asking Joe, hahaha. Thanks for the heads up, I'd like to have it working, as I take trips throughout Cali(bout 1200 Miles, each time), every summer! Ok, so it shouldn't effect performance, ...Check!

Thanks for the info Kiyo, I am definitely bored so I will probably tweak on my actuator now haha.

Chef- Kiyo was the one who suggested there could be a leak in there, but it should not effect the engine performance like he was saying. Man you still haven't found the issue yet??? Looks like were in the same boat...no running 4runner lol at least you have an engine in your bay so it cant be too bad...you're ahead of me ha

Hahaha, not so sure, Pismo! Mine is in the bay, and after QUITE A FEW DAYS, help from a pretty capable techie, ...and many near migraines trying to figure it out...NUTTIN! lol.

Seriously, though, VERY happy for you that you're almost there, Joe! Can't wait to hear it purrin away!
