I'm thinking about extending my roof rack to overhang the cab, and fabricate some legs with pads to just sit on top of the roof. Ill post a crude mock-up sooner or later.

For all who's interested, Chilton makes a Toyota pickups/landcrusier/4runner 1970-88 repair manual and it includes wiring diagrams and vacuum diagrams. I think it cost me $22.99 at O'rileys. Anyway it has every wire in my 4runner documented in there diagrams. They even have torque numbers for almost everything, and it also has step-by-step instructions on rebuilding a 22re. Its pact with a lot of information, if any of you are big expedition guys this would be perfect to carry with you.

How do you remove the brackets that hold the giant black guards on the rear that use to attach to the rear bumper? Removed them but the brackets are still there, is the snow hiding some kind of bolts or nuts?

You already removed the giant black plastic guards, and are wanting to remove the tabs that they bolted to? If so, yeah you have to cut those off.

Haven't been doing many updates. Done a few things, but nothing really worth posting. Waiting for my headlight guards I scored on eBay to come in. Ordering Rampage 7x6 headlights sometime next week.

Sorry to hear that.

Rampage headlights? Do you have more info on them, or a link to where you got them?
