NextR's 88 4runner build thread

Howdy.. Well my first ride was a 800 dollar 97 vw golf 5 speed I pestered my father in to getting. Replaced the clutch and traded it for my current ride, a rust free 1988 toyota 4runner 5 speed 22re (oh yea.. the dude also threw in a brand new dpms ar15 arctic panther.) So my dad took the panther, and I got to keep the 4runner.

My first car:

First mod I did was hood pins. Long story short hood came up going 55.

I also got some 31" All terrains. Really like this tire, other then its not so great in the mud.

Got rid of the cat back. No more cat, and running a IMCO exhaust (flowmaster 40 knock-off) 2 1/4 all the way back.

In the past year I've added a custom 1/2 snorkel/open filter, a stainless header, electric fan, duel cb antennas, blacked out grill, turn signals, and tail lights, 3 body lift, egr delete + a ton of extra junk, painted rims, 5in door speakers, 1" tweeters, duel P.A speakers, Adjustable shackles, instrument cluster with the rpm gauge, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Noob.

Like most fools I didn't read the regulations. If someone can explain how to change the title to my thread, I'm all ears.

What do you want for the title? It can be edited.

Welcome to Yotatech, nice looking 4Runner, its come a long way since youve owned it! I wish I would have gotten into Yotas at a younger age, i didnt get my first till my early 30's, I've owned 5 since then, lol.

I think a moderator would have to change your build thread title. **edit looks like rworegon is going to take care of it**

NextR's 88 4runner build thread would be fine, thanks Rworegon! Yea, I think she has the right stance rustED. I figured I would get blasted for the body lift and my style. Lol
Trucks built for fun, mudding mostly. Nothing to crawl over in Indiana, all flat!

Old picture of a friends sas'ed rig next to my 4runner. He and his pop restored that thing for his 16th birthday. Just last week he rolled it on the high way. Don't drink and drive.

Welcome to Yotatech! Nice runner. You got a Heck of a deal on that trade!!! And got an AR as well!!!! Man I need a deal like that.

That runner is very clean. Looks like no rust at all on the body.

Glad to see you are making it your own.

4runner only has surface rust where the trim was, frame is spotless. Just got the trans finished up, she has all 5 speeds now!
