New project! 87 Runner
Hey guys.. Been a long while since i've been on here. But i just picked up and new project.. it's a 87 runner, 3.0, 5speed.
I have some big plans for it, SAS, rear gear and a lot of fabrication work, but i need some opinions. Should i SAS (cost in mind) or stick with the ifs? I have 4.56 third members for it, but other then that it's bone stock minus an add-a-leaf in the rear. I'll try and get some pictures up soon.
So i guess is what i'm getting at is where can i find a half decent SAS kit, as well as bumpers ( if i decided not to build my own), or a nice lift for the IFS.
I really like WabFab's products and the work he does... But i can't get those items shipped to Canada.
Any tips would be great,
Jeremy

if you dont mind cutting the fenders, lock front rear, get some armor and skid plates and some 35's and you will be amazed what it will do. if you plan on lifting the IFS you might as well forget it and get the SAS kit. it wont do anything but wear out front end parts. that being said i have run BJ spacers, diff spacer and low pro bumpstops with the torsion bars cranked down to stock highth and have found that to be the best set up for off road use without spending tons of money. i have also used this set up in some of so-cals worst trails and did just fine..
